A farm designed for modern agriculture

A Balanced and Productive Ecosystem

Our forward-looking farm combines modern agriculture with respect for the environment. We grow nutrient-rich olive trees, pomegranates and grape vines, as well as uniquely flavored honey, all without harmful chemicals or pesticides. Our commitment to sustainable agriculture translates into practices that respect the environment and the native landscape.

The health of our soil, our plants and our community is at the heart of our concerns. Our organic approach, based on responsible balance and the preservation of biodiversity, is reflected in ingenious cross-disciplinary approaches. Free-range chickens revitalize the soil, beehives shelter pollinating bees essential to our crops, diversification of cultivated species: each element contributes to a harmonious and productive ecosystem.

Our ongoing activities

Since 2018, we have planted more than 3000 trees, bushes and shrubs. These include several varieties if Pomegranate trees and Olive Trees but also Grapes Vines, Aromatics, Fruits and Nut Trees as well as Ornemental Shrubs.
Soil health

Cover crops and annual crop rotation in our orchards, as well as minimal soil disturbance (no tilling), are at the heart of our approach. These natural methods preserve soil fertility, limit erosion and promote biodiversity and nutritional density.

Biodiversity

The creation of biodiversity islands in our orchards, as well as a pond, attract birds and insects, contributing to a flourishing ecosystem

Chemical-free cultivation

We avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, opting instead for natural alternatives such as compost, organic green manure and chickens which graze our orchards.

Water conservation

As part of our commitment to responsible water management, we have opted for drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting. These methods optimize our water consumption and enable our crops to flourish while preserving this precious resource.

A farm in the heart of Puglia

In Puglia, in the south of Italy, our farm enjoys an exceptional geographical location.

Puglia, in southern Italy, has a unique Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. This climate, along with its limestone-rich soil and proximity to the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, makes it ideal for growing drought-resistant crops.

One of the most famous agricultural products of Puglia is olive oil. The region is home to millions of olive trees, some centuries old, thriving in the arid conditions. The combination of intense sun, minimal rainfall, and well-draining soil helps produce high-quality olives with a rich, flavorful oil.

Puglia is also a major producer of grapes, particularly for wine production. The warm days and cool coastal breezes create the perfect conditions for robust red grape varieties like Primitivo, Negroamaro and our Susumaniello which develop deep flavors due to the extended ripening period.

Additionally, wheat and durum wheat grow well in Puglia’s dry, open plains, making it a key region for Italy’s pasta production. Almonds, figs, and tomatoes also thrive in the heat, benefiting from the region’s fertile yet arid land.

Puglia’s unique climate supports an agriculture that emphasizes drought-resistant, sun-loving crops, producing some of Italy’s most essential and flavorful foods.
